A Guide for Beginning Lolitas~
- Disclaimer: This isn't a perfect guide, and there is a lot of room for mistakes, and individual input! For the most part, I think this is what would have helped me first, in this order!
This is also geared a little more towards sweet lolitas, since this is my main style~

Advice Dog? Not really... xD
(Ahh, how I want to be as beautiful, successful, and amazing as Tsubasa~)
So, I'd just like to share some inspirational things I have seen lately!
"100 Ways You Can Start Loving Yourself Right Now" is a must read! Even if you KNOW it all already, it never hurts to let someone else write it out for you. (:
From that post, I really enjoyed and agreed with Wayne Dyer said, “When you judge another, you do not define them, you define yourself.”
I feel like a lot of girls, myself included, can just become so jaded with being judgmental... even if we are silent about it.
Great, basic, and fitness advice. Also, probably more well known as a sticky on /fit/, it answers most basic fitness questions, and has pretty solid advice!
I'd like to add that it's also really great to set up a reward system.
For an example:
If I work out for two weeks straight, I'll buy myself that new YSL lip stick color I have been longing for! <3 If I lose 3 pounds, and keep it off for a week, I'll go for some macarons~

(I found this off of Tumblr)~
I feel like people always forget... but this is about you getting happy! Not for anyone else (unless it's for your kids...)
Don't forget that you should just do it. Don't make excuses to discourage yourself while you're just starting (or if you haven't even started yet). You won't get anywhere that way!

What?! A Fitness Post?!
Sort of!!
I found a good article on 10 good foods, off of msn today. I really wanted to share it because I thought it had a lot of fun and helpful advice! I recommend everyone to read it because they are tasty things that can really help you live a healthier life, with cited scientific sources... sort of. If you want to look up the research, I'm sure you can find it because they at lease cite the publisher/scientific journal.
CLICK THIS!
Kevin and I have been working out almost every day, and pretty consistently too! Although I'm really tired lately, since I have had an abrupt schedule change... I really want to sleep now.
I got a few new things... so I'll update it next time. (:

I give myself very good advice, but I very seldom follow it. |:
Well, I really need to get my act together. Since moving out, my conscientiousness has drastically fallen. Leaving me with a pitiful GPA, and generally I have always attended classes... but this semester, I have been very bad about it. My friend always wonders if I have dropped. XD;
Also, aside from studying, I haven't really been working out lately either. I do feel very sick and stressed lately, and I'm sure working out would help, but I just keep letting myself get distracted. I need to seriously set some priorities! D:
I can't wait for later today though. :3 I better go to bed now. D:

This needs to be a sticky.
These are scientifically proven facts to make you happier! If you're interested, go ahead and pick up the book.
Title: 10 Steps Towards a More Satisfying Existence
Researcher:
Sonja Lyubomirsky
It's probably in the "Self-Help" section, but know that all of these are backed up with hard research, facts, data, and I am pretty sure Sonia cites them all in her book!
1) Count your blessings (express gratitude).
2) Cultivate optimism (think happy thoughts).
3) Avoid over-thinking and social comparison.
4) Practice acts of kindness.
5) Nurture social relationships.
6) Develop strategies for coping with stress (be hardy).
7) Learn to forgive.
8) Increase Flow experiences (including goal pursuit).
9) Savor life’s joys (stop and smell the roses).
10) Take care of yourself (exercise, meditation, and acting happy).
